2018 Family Pictures

We had some amazing family pictures taken here in AL in front of Spanish Moss (native to AL).  I love how they turned out.

Look at how big my kids are getting.  They are such good kids.  They are kind, smart, & beautiful.  They make me so proud.

International Fair

Maxwell AFB ACSC Program put on a really fun international fair last weekend.  Many of the students at ACSC are international students from several countries.

The international students put on this fair to give other ACSC families the opportunity to be introduced to the food, customs, & traditions of their home countries.

The kids had a blast.  We ate some really interesting foods (like kangaroo), enjoyed some delicious desserts (like scones & shortbread from England & crepes from France, & loved some familiar foods from Europe (like goulash suppe from Slovakia).

Each country had activities for the kids to do.  They enjoyed the Taiwan booth where they got to write their names in Chinese.

Taya liked the Australia booth because it had kangaroos, fairy toast, & coloring books.  I ate kangaroo jerky & the kids were SO angry at me.  "MOM!!!  How could you eat that?"  ha ha ha.  It's food.  And it was good.

We are SO glad we went.  It was a blast.  Thank you ACSC International students for sharing your traditions with us.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from the Potter House!!!

The kids actually went trick or treating this year & lasted 2 whole hours.  I was REALLY proud of them.  They had a blast, & everyone loved the Lord of the Rings costumes. . . especially
GOLLUM.

My mom & dad even dressed up as Luke & Leia in UT.  They sent me this cute pic.  I love it.  My parents are so cute.

So, another year has come & gone.  Now . . . . what costumes to make for next year?

Hmmm. . . SO EXCITING.

Pumpkin Patch Fun

I absolutely LOVE going on field trips with my kids.

This year, Canyon got to go on a field trip to the pumpkin patch about 30 minutes north of where we live.  It's a big farm with animals, crops, & of course, pumpkins.

Canyon enjoyed feeding all the animals.

He also learned hwo to milk a cow.

We got to ride on a tractor out to the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin.

And Canyon found the perfect pumpkin for him.

He has so many cute friends, & they played for over an hour on the playground.

It was a fun day . . . & my last school pumpkin patch trip.  That makes me sad.  I can't believe my baby is in kindergarten.  Where does the time go?
