Halloween Dinners

Halloween is my holiday.  It's my favorite time of year & I love going all out in the Halloween celebrations here at home.  Every year I plan out Halloween themed dinners for every night of the month.

Here are just a few pics of some of the fun things we ate this year.

Taya's 14th Birthday Party - GAMES!

Taya's 14th birthday party was a fun one.  She chose the theme "Games" for her party which meant we got to play a TON of GAMES with all of her friends.

She wanted an ice cream cake so I did my best at making her ice cream cake look like a cake from Minecraft which is her favorite "game."

We decorated in Minecraft, Among Us, Clue, Uno, & more.  It was a really fun theme.

We also invited Tony (our gelato man) to come celebrate with us.  We all enjoyed our last gelato cones of the season.

Taya had all her friends upstairs playing all sorts of silly games.  I swear I heard laughter for 2 straight hours up there.

Taya has the best little group of friends.  I love these kids so much.  They are always over here hanging out & I feel like they are my own kids.

Taya is such a beautiful, sweet, young woman.  I can't believe she's 14 years old.  My baby girl is growing up.  She is my little sunshine & I love her so so so much.

Happy Birthday!

October Fun

I'm finally catching up on my blog again.  October & November just flew by way too fast.

October was a wonderful month.  We were extremely busy with Halloween events, Youth Conference, & Stake Conference, but we managed to have a lot of fun too.

Trek & I enjoyed a few bikerides while the weather was still good.

The sunsets in the Fall here are incredible.

We actually had 3 ER visits in ONE WEEK in October.
#1: Trek thinks he tore his muscle in his shoulder & is now in physical therapy for the next few months.
#2: Lorien was playing soccer with friends & accidentally kicked a friend when they were both trying to get the ball & wound up breaking her toe in the process.  We went to the ER, but the xray didn't show a break.  3 doctors looked at it & swore that it was broken even though they couldn't see it on the xray due to the swelling & bruising.  She is in a boot & taping her toes together for 6 weeks.
#3: Canyon's foot swelled up for absolutely no reason whatsoever to the point that he couldn't put any weight on it.  We spent the whole day in the ER & waited for the swelling to go down.  It did after several hours & the doctors still don't know what caused it.

I got my hair done for the first time in forever.  It turned out super cute.

The kids have been doing really well with piano too.  Bladen & Canyon both passed off some fun songs this month:

Canyon playing "In The Hall of the Mountain King"

Bladen enjoyed playing "Ghostbusters" for Halloween

And Bladen's been working extra hard on "Wonder Woman's Wrath" from the Wonder Woman movie.

It's starting to frost here & the spider webs are beautiful.

And surprisingly, I actually had time to paint this month.  Only a few times, but I sure love it when I get a chance to sit down & play with my colors.

It was a great month.
