Cadence had an amazing opportunity this year of being a part of the Mountain View High School's Symphonic Orchestra. They were in need of an oboeist & invited her to enroll in the class even though she was only in 8th grade. Every Monday, I got to pick her up from the middle school & drive her over to the High School to attend the class.
It's been a wonderful opportunity for her to practice & learn VERY difficult music on her oboe, play with both strings & band instruments, & make friends at the high school she will be attending next year. It's been such an amazing experience for her. She's excited to be an official Freshman next year.
They played Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony (click the link below to hear their performance). They played the 1st & 2nd movements & together the piece is about 30 minutes long, but it's worth it. They did such an amazing job.
