We had so much fun with night games this summer. We've been doing night games with the neighborhood kids for years, but this year is the first time we've split it up by age & it really made all the difference. The little kids could be little kids & the teenagers could play rough. They all loved it.
In July we had our water games & they were a blast. With the little kids we mostly did water relays & water balloon/gun fights. Perfect for them.
But with the older kids, we set up a water baseball field & we had more fun than we ever have before. We played kickball, but every base was a swimming pool full of water. And then the stretch from 3rd base to home plate there was a slipping slide. I don't think those kids have ever had so much fun in their lives. They ended up wanting to play this the entire hour. It cracked me up.
What a wonderful end to summer.
