Cadence kicked off the Christmas concert season with her band concert. It was a hard one because she was without an official band teacher leading up to it so every day of rehearsal, her music was led by someone different & usually at a different tempo. She told me before the concert that she didn't know what songs she was playing for the concert or at what speed they were going to play them. She was scared because she had a really long solo in one of the songs that she had been practicing at a slower tempo, but one of the new conductors led it much faster. She did fine, but was glad when it was all over. She is loving band though. She loves playing oboe & is getting better & better each day. I am SO proud of her.
