I love holiday baking. Once all the programs & school/work functions were taken care of, I finally got a few days to sit down & bake all the yummy goodies we love to eat at Christmas.
I ended up making 150 pieces of peppermint fudge,
150 pieces of peanut butter fudge,
150 Christmas Lights & Nutcracker chocolates,
75 Caramel Marshmallow Treats,
75 Peanut Butter Balls,
75 Gingerbread Cookies,
175 Frosted Sugar Cookies,
3 Batches of Christmas Crack,
2 Batches of Muddy Buddies,
300 Homemade Caramels,
& 75 Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies
Of course we can't eat all of that, so we made 40 plates of goodies for neighbors, friends, Trek's co-workers, & several people from church.
We took 3 whole days at an average of 4 hours a day to deliver the plates & carol at people's houses. It's never taken us that long to deliver goodies. I forget how spread out the villages here in Europe are. It literally takes 15-30 minutes to get from each house to the next house & when you're delivering 40 plates, that adds up fast. We spent over an hour just planning & mapping out the order in which we'd deliver them so we'd make the best use of our time.
Regardless of time, we had a BLAST as a family. My girls especially love to carol at people's houses. I just love the family together time.
Merry Christmas everyone.
