It's been a while since we've taken these kiddos on a plane. We decided to fly home to UT for a couple weeks this summer to see family we haven't seen in almost 3 years & we were SO excited. But the plane ride was going to be a rough one.
Canyon couldn't wait to go on vacation. He was a huge help in packing the car.
We flew on two flights to get to UT. One from Norfolk to Atlanta & another from Atlanta to Salt Lake City. I guess there were some pretty bad storms in Atlanta so our first flight was almost 2 hours delayed, & of course they didn't tell us that until we were on the plane so we sat in our tiny seats for 2 hours before we even took off. The kids slept the entire time which means as soon as the plane really did take off, they were awake & ready to party. Trek & I were ready to sleep. It wasn't the best combination.
We barely made it to Atlanta in time to catch our second flight. We ran to our terminal & onto our plane before they shut the door, only to repeat the process again. We sat on that plane for almost an hour for delays as well. We FINALLY arrived in UT around 1am UT time which is 3 am our usual time. We were exhausted.
But HOORAY for vacations.
