Christmas Eve 2025

Christmas Eve was wonderful & hard all at the same time.  This was the first year we celebrated Christmas with my parents gone.  Our family has had Christmas just us when we lived around the world, but I always was able to call my mom & dad & talk about Christmas with them.  This year would be different.  I did cry quite a bit knowing they wouldn't be able to talk to me or celebrate with me, but at the same time, we had Justin's family over with our whole family & it was magical as our first one fully together.

We spent the day playing board games, watching Christmas movies, & just chatting.  We made a big Mexican food Christmas Eve dinner & just enjoyed spending all that time together.

Justin & his family wanted to help us do the annual nativity video which turned out hilarious as usual.  I swear, it just gets more wacky, the older the kids get.  It was fun adding Elijah & Amkaa to the video this year.

After the nativity, Justin's family went home to do their own Christmas Eve traditions . . . & Elijah & Lorien took off to drive to St. George to be with Elijah's family for Christmas Day.  They got to open up their pajamas while in St. George & sent me pics.

Meanwhile, we got to open up our Christmas pj's as well.  This year's theme was Doctor Who & the pajamas were adorable.

Craiger actually got 2 this year because I accidentally bought a kids size small instead of an adult size small for his shirt & wound up having to buy a new one on Christmas Adam so he'd have one that fit him on Christmas Eve.  Oopsie.

We are all still laughing at Craiger fitting into the kids size 6 shirt that was accidentally bought.

Everybody looked adorable.  We ended the night by watching The Santa Clause 2 (which always reminds me of my mom. . . it was her favorite), & then we went to bed awaiting what Santa would surprise the kids with in the morning.
