For day 4 of Camp Tonsofun we tackled the toys & trinkets in the kids' rooms. So many times, we collect things on trips, walks, etc. that seem sentimental at the time, but you eventually grow out of caring for the item. We were able to get rid of toys we no longer play with, & trinkets we no longer needed. It feels SO good to downsize things. Now my boys are playing in their rooms SO MUCH MORE because they have a place for everything & know where everything is.
The girls had started this on Tuesday when they began organizing their shoes & clothes, but finished it up on Thursday.
I was really proud of them for getting rid of so much stuff. They have the smallest room in our house so there really isn't any room for extra things. They got everything clean, organized, & put away. Their room is SO beautiful now.
The treat for today was yardstick bubble gum. The kids LOVED these. They got them when all 6 of them had finished practicing their piano for the day (which takes about 4 hours total).
For baking, we made my grandmother's lemonade pie. The kids had never had it before & loved it.
For our camp activity, we made moon sand out of flour & oil. Who knew mood sand was so much fun. I swear, my 17 year old was sculpting with it for 2.5 hours.
Taya was our spotlight for day 3. She loves apricot chicken on rice & corn. She is definitely my corn girl.
