Trek, Lorien, Taya, & Bladen all got the opportunity to go to Boys Camp & Girls Camp this summer with our church. They joined up with a few more congregations making a total of about 350 people. The girls camped on one side of the campground while the boys camped on the other side.
This year they camped in Garmisch, Germany at the base of the beautiful Alps. They were SO excited. They spent 6 full days there full of food, hiking, sleeping in tents, swimming, ropes courses, cliff jumping, crafts, sports, & more.
It was an absolutely GORGEOUS location for camping.
Trek even had his own little "running club" with some of the teenage boys there. He loves being a leader of the youth here in Germany.
He also had the opportunity to do several devotionals throughout his week there.
A lot of my friends were the cooks at camp this year. They were AMAZING. Cooking for 350 every day is NOT easy. All the kids were fed wonderful things the whole time they were there.
After the kids ate, they washed their own mess kits & hung them on a line to dry until the next meal.
A few GIGANTIC badgers found their way into camp a few of the nights. The men guarding the camps had to deal with them. They were the size of small bears.
They all ended up having an absolute blast the entire week. I'm so glad they got to go & experience this this year.
