Homecoming 2022 - Taya

Homecoming was the 2nd week of October & both my girls got the chance to go & have a blast with some friends.

Taya who isn't quite ready to date just yet went with a big group of friends from school.  A friend gave us a beautiful dress for her & our friend did her hair.  She was beautiful!
(She's always beautiful, but it's fun to see her get all dolled up.)

Since she was just going with friends, Taya & I made boutonnières for all of her guy friends since they were just going as a group of friends rather than dates, & I made Taya a corsage.

All of Taya's friends met up together at a friends house & took pictures by the forest.

These kids are the best of the best.  I love that Taya has these friends who are just a blast to be around.  They know how to have fun, be goofy, & be serious when they need to be.  They support one another & genuinely love each other.

The boys in this group are outstanding too.  They are just all around great kids.  Taya is so blessed to have them all in her life.

All the parents put together a big Italian dinner at one of the kids' houses.  I was busy helping Lorien's group of friends do pictures so I wasn't able to help with the dinner, but Trek & I decided to divide & conquer & he was able to help set up, serve, & clean up the dinner.  I'm SO glad he got a few great pictures of the friends hanging out together.

After dinner, the parents helped carpool all the kids to the dance.  I arrived just as they were leaving & got to give Taya a hug.  Then Trek took over for me & helped Lorien with her date while I stayed & cleaned up after the dinner & helped set up the afterparty for Taya's group of friends.

The kids got back around 10 pm & we made a huge waffle bar for them all.  They could top it with fruit, whipped cream, syrup, & all sorts of other fun things.  We played music & they danced around & played some boardgames until midnight.  Then we gathered them all up & took them home.

It was an exhausting day, but super magical too.  Taya had a blast at her very first high school dance.  She loved dressing up in a pretty dress & dancing with all of her friends.  It was a night to remember forever.
