For Spring Break this year, we took a road trip to Las Vegas. Trek has 2 brothers who live there & my kids always get excited at the idea of spending time with their cousins. We drove down Easter night so that we could wake up Monday morning & start exploring.
We spent the morning hanging out with family, exploring their neighborhood, & playing with their cute dog. At noon we headed to a movie theater & we all watched the Mario Galaxy movie. Boy were my kids excited for that one. Movies are always fun.
My kids have never been to Las Vegas so this was all new to them. Talon suggested taking them to the strip just so they can say they've been there. We parked at the Bellagio & explored the gardens & the beautiful fountain show.
We just watched Ocean's 11 with the kiddos earlier that week so they could see what "Vegas" was like & they wanted to see the Bellagio since that was central to the plot of the movie. I think they really liked the fountain show.
We continued walking down the strip & Craiger wanted a picture with Gordon Ramsey's restaurant "Hell's Kitchen."
We popped into Caesar's Palace to get a photo with Caesar himself (Bladen & Taya are obsessed with Rome & it's history.)
Then we walked down to the Venetian. The kids have been missing Europe a lot lately, so they wanted to explore Caesar's Palace, Paris, & the Venetian.
Oh how seeing the canals made us miss Italy. Vegas does such a great job of making you feel like you're somewhere else. The kids loved the Venetian.
By the time we were done with the Venetian, Paris, etc. . . it was getting dark, the kids were starving, & our legs had walked almost 14,000 steps. It was time to call it a night.
We all went out to dinner together & it was a blast. After dinner, we headed back to Talon's house & watched movies until everyone fell asleep. It was a wonderful 1st day. I just love family time.
