The very end of June, Cadence was able to buy another college student's contract at a little apartment complex in Provo. For 2 months I had been driving Cadence to & from the train station twice a day so she could go to & from work at the MTC teaching Mongolian. It was doable, but wasted SO MUCH TIME for both of us. I recommended looking for one month contracts so that she could live near work so she did & found the perfect contract.
She had already signed a contract with another student housing complex that started the end of August, but she found a young lady who was selling her contract from June 27-August 18 which was PERFECT for what Cadence was needing. With less than 24 hour notice, we packed up EVERYTHING Cadence owned, threw it in the back of my van, & moved her to this little apartment for 1.5 months.
I love helping my adult kids move. I like to try to be helpful in any way I can. We got her room & kitchen set up super cute.
Then I took her to Walmart & bought her all the basic food items she'd need to survive off of for a while. She actually had this whole apartment all to herself (no other roommates were there the entire 1.5 months she was there!). It was a great little place for her for the rest of the summer. She could walk to work & she got some much needed independence.
I'm so proud of her.
