December Happenings 2024

December flew by at the Potter house.  December seems to get SO SUPER CRAZY with all the Christmas parties, concerts, performances, & school functions that it's gone in the blink of an eye.  Here's a few random & fun things we did this month.

Taya got her headshots done for the Alta Ladies Ballroom Team.  She's a cutie.

Lorien went on a fun date with her new boyfriend to the German Christmas market here in Salt Lake.  They "officially" started dating after Christmas. . . this was their very first date which is adorable.

My boys prove to me each day, that being a mom of teenage boys is a whole new ballgame.  Girls are SO different than boys & I'm still adjusting to my girls being gone.

Craiger continues to be a leader in the Civil Air Patrol program.  He excels at everything he does.

We hosted SEVERAL Christmas parties this year.  Trek thoroughly enjoyed hosting his work party.  We had a white elephant exchange, lots of good food, & GAMES.

Cadence tried to shave her eyebrows & wound up cutting herself deep across the bridge of her nose.  She wasn't happy, but we all got a chuckle out of it.  Sweet girl.

Trek enjoyed his JAM advent calendar from his sister, Tylee.

Our family was blessed with an outpouring of love from friends & neighbors during the holiday season.  We are so lucky to live near so many wonderful people.

Taya's best friend, April, visited from Germany.  They spent 2 whole days together & had a blast.

Canyon auditioned for & got the solo in our area's big Christmas Concert.  He was SO scared (he threw up just one hour before he was set to perform), but he did a wonderful job.  I'm so proud of him.

Our family sang Stille Nacht (in German) for our church Christmas program.  It's our family tradition & I love it so much.

So, though it was a very busy month, we had a blast.  I love the family time associated with Christmas.  It makes my heart happy.  We did a LOT together as a family, & I'm so grateful for that time together.
