Mar10 Day 2025

Happy Mario Day!

(Mar10)

The kids love this one.  I made a full on Mario themed dinner, then we watched the Mario Movie together as a family.  The kids got a kick out of it.

Mardi Gras 2025

Happy Mardi Gras from the Potter House.

I always miss living in VA & AL during Mardi Gras season.  The south knows how to make a PARTY!

We always celebrate no matter where we are though.  I made some red beans & rice & some creole green beans.

And of course I made a King Cake.

And Taya found the BABY in her cake.  She has to make the cake next year.

Father/Sons Moab Trip - February 2025

The end of February, Trek took the boys on a father son campout with several other fathers/sons in our neighborhood.  They all drove down to Moab together & spent 3 full days in the desert sunshine.

They had SO MUCH FUN.  They played games & talked in the condo they stayed at, they hiked through Arches National Park, they went cave exploring, & they rented jeeps for 24 hours & just played in the dirt non-stop.  I think my boys had the time of their lives this weekend.

They also celebrated Craiger on his birthday down there.  They all surprised him with a birthday breakfast & just spoiled him throughout the day.

They had a ton of fun.  If you ask any of them what their favorite part was. . . . 100% it was the jeeps.  They were in heaven!

Happy 14th Birthday Craiger

The tail end of February, Craiger turned 14 years old!  He actually spent his birthday on a father/son campout in Moab, but we still celebrated when he got home a day later.

This was a big one for Craiger.  He's been trying to convince Trek & I how much he needs a phone (as a CAP officer in charge of many many things, as the junior high's NJHS ambassador taking care of many before & after school items, & as a leader at church leading things on a regular basis.)

We finally bit the bullet & gave him my old phone (I got the new Iphone 16E . . . the basic basic new iphone).  He was SO surprised, excited, & grateful to have the chance to be trusted with a phone.  We set a lot of limits & expectations to keep the phone, but so far he's done amazingly.

Nancy got him a bunch of new clothes & shoes for school which he always appreciates.

For his birthday breakfast we made him ultimate breakfast burritos, apples, bacon, & ding dongs.

We will be celebrating his birthday dinner at my parent's house in March with his favorite dinner (pepperjack chicken enchiladas) & then on March 15th is his birthday party with friends.

Happy Happy Birthday Craiger.  We love you.
