The next morning, we woke up & walked from our hotel/house to the very center of the city, the church. It was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel. We loved all the old houses along our way.
The church in Colmar is gorgeous.
We ended our walk at a fun place called "Choco Story." It was a chocolate museum. We pre-bought tickets for a tour & couldn't wait to taste all the amazing chocolates.
It was a great museum. There were a lot of very interactive stations where the kids could push, pull, watch, listen, & play games. It kept them entertained while they learned all about chocolate.
I loved the room with the chocolate costumes & statues. There are some really talented people in the world to make things like this. AMAZING.
Trek, Alex, & Canyon all made the "Best of the Day" board for their game scores throughout the museum. Canyon was pretty excited about that.
And at the very end of the tour, we all got hot cocoa. I got spanish hot cocoa which was dark chocolate mixed with cinnamon, anise, & other spices. It was delicious.
I'm so glad we chose to add this to our day. It was a blast.
