Happy 15th Birthday to Craiger!!
I can't believe Craiger is 15 years old! It's crazy.
For birthday breakfast he wanted breakfast burritos, bacon, apple slices, & a ding dong.
He got lots of fun presents from family & friends. Justin & Cari got him 4 little colognes to try out, his siblings got him some green pillows for his room, & Trek & I got him a bunch of new clothes. Nancy also got him a bunch of new clothes as well. He was VERY happy.
For his birthday party we did our big murder mystery party. We've done those for every 15th birthday for each of our kids. Craiger chose the same party Taya did which focuses around fairy tale characters.
A LOT of kids came. I'm always surprised at how many people come to these parties. It's insane. Every person he invited came & they raided my basement & dressed up in all my costumes. It was SO MUCH FUN. These kids REALLY got into it.
We played in 3 different rounds of clues & talking to each of the characters to figure out who had motive & who was going to be murdered & who did it. These kids had no problem conversing with each other as fictional characters. I was laughing SO hard at how well they adapted their character personalities.
We had pizza, fruits, & veggies for dinner & then a bunch of snacks & red velvet cupcakes for dessert. IT was all delicious.
After round 2 & dinner was served, we finally had a victim! (She was such a good sport)
Before the 3rd round, we did a dance off where we split everyone up into 5 different teams & assigned them a fairy tale song & a dance style. We gave them 30 minutes to choreograph a funny dance & then perform it for everyone. Beings most of this group is on the high school ballroom team, we got quite the dances. They were amazing.
Craiger's group was assigned - Boy Band Style Dance to "Cinderella" by the Cheetah Girls.
The next group got Bollywood. . .
The Bladen's group had to do the Robot to Taylor Swift's "Fairy Tale." There were even lifts in this one.
Taya's group had to do Breakdancing to a Queen song about Fairy Tales.
And the last group was assigned Irish Dance which was hilarious.
After the dance off, we all met up together & discussed who we thought the murderer was. . . then we revealed it. The kids had a blast.
We spent the rest of the time laughing, dancing around in costumes, opening presents, & more. I think Craiger really loved it. It was a lot of fun.
