Trek celebrated his 47th birthday in January. How are we already at 47? That's crazy.
He, of course, requested biscuits & gravy, bacon, & Cadence made some delicious cream cheese with banana cupcakes for him as well. We ate it as a birthday dinner rather than a birthday breakfast so that the married kids could come celebrate too.
Trek got all sorts of fun things. Cadence & Amkaa got him an awesome camping light. It is SO bright. He's going to love that. Lorien & Elijah got him some hand warmers & a Captain America nerf shield.
I got him a new larger monitor for his computer upstairs because I know as soon as he retires, he'll hopefully be working from home & will need a good monitor for work. He loved that. The kids got him some stuff to clean the soft top of his mini cooper convertible top & then Justin & Cari got him an awesome scratch off destination map of the world to hang in his "office." Nancy got him all sorts of clothing & shoes. . . & a nutcracker. He loved it all.
I made him some frosted hot cocoa cookies for dessert. And we just spent the evening chatting with each other, & being together as a family.
Happy birthday to my darling. I love you more than anything.
