Easter time is always an exciting time at the Potter house. We always do a big easter egg hunt every year. Trek's mom always puts on the biggest & best easter egg hunts, so when we're not with her, I try to do the same, though hers are always better. We miss you Oma.
I filled a TON of plastic eggs with jelly beans, chocolate, candy, Euro, & dollar bills to make the hunt exciting. Then we hide the eggs all over the place in plain sight to make the kids battle it out for the most eggs.
It cracks me up how competitive my kids are, especially my teens. They will push each other over & steal from each other's baskets to get one more egg. (It's all for fun & they enjoy playing around with each other.)
The best part of the egg hunt is opening the eggs to see what is inside. Who found the most eggs? Who got the most money inside?
It never fails, Canyon always makes bank on his eggs. He got the $20 bill, the $10 bill, & the 20 Euro bill. Little Stinker. Everyone else had a couple one dollar bills inside their eggs.
We also spend the afternoon coloring Easter Eggs, another favorite tradition for Eastertime.
It was a great Easter-Eve day together as a family.
