My sweet dad's viewing was the Monday after I got back from Girls Camp. My brother & I dressed him & spent some last moments with him before we invited family & friends to say their goodbyes.
We set up some tables with some of dad's favorite things like Hawaiian shirts, BYU memorabilia, pictures of him & my mom together, his tennis racket, his golf balls, & lots of awards from working at Geneva Rock. We also found his slide projector & all his mission slides from his mission in Taiwan. Those were SO FUN to look through. It was crazy seeing pictures of my dad when he was only 19 years old on the streets of Taiwan. We showed those at the viewing as well.
There were so many beautiful flowers sent by friends & family. Everybody loved my dad.
The flowers on his casket & wreath were in BYU Blue & White, just the way he'd want it.
It was a beautiful viewing. I loved seeing so many wonderful friends & family members come out to say their goodbyes.
