Canyon's 9th Birthday - Super Smash Brothers

Happy 9th birthday to this blue eyed angel.  I still can't believe my baby is 9 years old.  Time flies.

Canyon is such a sweet little boy & his beautiful blue eyes & warm hugs always melt my heart.  He's growing up so much!  He is a friend to everyone!  He loves to "take care" of others, especially friends who are younger than him, & he's just a fun kid to be around.  You can't help but be happy when Canyon is around.

For his birthday breakfast, Canyon wanted scrambled eggs, bacon, & apple slices.

Cadence was home for this birthday so it was super fun having her get to hold up a finger too.
9 years old!!

My friend Nancy sent Canyon some new clothes, swim trunks, & shoes for his birthday.

Mimi & Baba got him the next book in his favorite series & some headphones for school.

Opa & Oma sent him a Mario controller for the Switch.

And the brothers & sisters & mom & dad got him a big Luigi's Mansion lego set.  He had a blast putting it all together.

For Canyon's special birthday dinner we had his favorite food in the world:
Southwestern Pasta Salad,
Hawaiian sweet rolls, & veggies.  That kid is obsessed with veggies, especially raw mushrooms.

The day after his birthday he had his birthday party with all his friends from church & school.  His theme was "Super Smash Brothers" & Cadence helped me decorate his cake.  Nancy sent a cool edible graphic to put on the top of his cake, then we made the blue frosting & piped it along the outside.  We topped it all off with some blue & silver sprinkles to make it magical.

When his friends came over, we played human "Super Smash Bros" on the trampoline.  They had a blast with that.  I just told them they really couldn't "smash" each other. . . just pretend.
ha ha ha.

While they were playing on the trampoline, I got lunch all finished & ready to go.  I made pizza, watermelon, & lots of veggies because they are Canyon's favorite.

After that the boys went upstairs & had an ultimate Smash Bros tournament on our switch.  We have 12 controllers so everyone got to play together.  They played that for about 30 minutes.

Then we took them all up the hill to the bee farm to do a pinata.

After the pinata, Tony's wife stopped by to bring ice cream to the birthday boy.  The kids got a kick out of having the ice cream truck all to themselves.

Then we opened presents from friends.  Canyon has a really great group of boys as friends right now.  We've been so lucky to be with all these kids.  They really are good kids.

After presents we sang Happy Birthday & had cake.  Canyon got to help cut his own cake.  He felt very grown up getting to do that.

Happy birthday little guy!!  You bring so much love & joy into our lives.
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.
