June was full of FAMILY HAPPENINGS & TRIPS
which you'll hear about shortly. . .
But I found some random pictures from June that I wanted to include to show the everyday happenings of June 2022.
As always, lots of bikerides happen around here . . .
Bladen shot up in height this month. He's WAY taller than Cadence. . .
still a little shorter than Lo,
and much to Taya's dismay, he's passed her up even though he's a year & a half younger than her.
Lorien got to take part in a base color run at the high school where she had the job of throwing color on the people as they ran past them.
We had a big church level dance with all the youth ages 14-18. It was Luau themed & the kids loved it. Cadence, Lorien, & Taya all got to attend (though Cadence attended as a chaperone).
I was able to organize & carry out our stake's seminary graduation. Seminary is an early morning religious class that members of our church attend their 9th-12th grades. These kids get up & attend class from 6:30-7:30 am every single school day for 4 years. We study books of scripture over those 4 years. If they complete all 4 years, they get to "graduate" seminary & get a diploma.
I'm in charge of seminary graduation so it was a pleasure to honor these hard working seniors for 4 years of hard work & dedication.
Cadence got a job for the summer working at Popeyes on base. She likes it so far & it pays well so she's happy about it. Plus she has a few friends that work there with her which makes it fun. She's saving up for her mission & for college so it's good for her to work for the summer.
And Lorien embarked on a journey by herself last week. She flew to the states all by herself! She is staying with Opa & Oma in CA where she is taking driving lessons from an instructor & will be taking her driving test next week. HOPEFULLY, she comes home with her CA driver's license. If she doesn't pass, we'll try again later, but she's been working very hard on learning everything so she can pass her test.
With all the family in town & all the traveling we did, June flew by in the blink of an eye. But hooray for July & the adventures it will surely bring!
