Our 2nd day in The Netherlands, Trek woke up early for a run through the beautiful farmland of The Netherlands.
After showering (with no towels), we piled into the van & headed to Efterling Amusement Park. The kids have been excited about this park. It's supposed to have amazing roller coasters. We love fast roller coasters.
The main character of the park was a cute little jester guy. The kids did NOT want to take a picture with him, so Trek & I took one instead. (They said he was creepy)
The bathrooms in the park cracked me up. There was one stall with a wood door & a crown on it while the rest were plain doors.
Inside the crowned wood door was a golden toilet. Yes, you read that right. . . a golden toilet fit for a queen!
There were tons of fun little places all over the park where we could pose for fun photos. The kids loved climbing on everything. It was a very kid friendly park.
And it was really fun to see the kids get along so well together. We had fun playing headbands while we waited in lines. We enjoyed just talking & telling dad jokes to each other. It was really great bonding time.
These two crack me up. They are best friends & worst enemies depending on the day. Today they were the very best of friends. Out of all my kiddos Taya & Bladen are the closest in age (15 months apart) & they are SO similar. They really are fun when they're together.
Our first ride of the day was inside this cute castle. It was a really fun ride. . . more for young kids, but still a blast.
After that we made our way around the park riding every ride we came upon. The kids loved the little boat ride around the park.
We rode several roller coasters throughout the day too. A few of the kids opted to sit those out, but most of us went & we all loved them. There were some really good ones here.
There was an adorable fairy tale land in the center of the park where you could walk around & find your way through all the different European fairy tales.
One of our favorite rides is the swinging pirate ship. We all love this one. However, this particular version went HIGH. I'm all about thrills, but I have a few kiddos that don't do so well. I love the progression of these photos as the ride got higher & higher. Taya & Craiger were especially hilarious to watch. Poor things didn't like it at all. The rest of us thought it was AMAZING.
This vulture ride was an indoor roller coaster & ALL my kids loved it, even my kiddos who hate roller coasters.
Only a few of us rode the spinny ride. We all wanted to puke afterward.
The water ride was fun too. We love raft rides & this one didn't get us terribly wet. The kids loved it.
And there was a "It's A Small World" ride. . . but European version.
The kids asked to run around the fairy tale forest again as well.
After we wore ourselves out, we found a cute little restaurant for dinner. We ordered random things to try local food. This was a potato salad.
And Cadence got a crab salad sandwich.
Their fries had all sorts of interesting things on them. Ours had mayo & satay sauce (like a Thai peanut sauce). They were delicious.
Thank you Efterling Park for an amazing day full of rides, fun, & smiles for our family.
