Disneyland Paris - Day 2

Can I say again how COOL our hotel is?

We woke up early on Friday morning so we could get into the park an hour earlier than everyone else for our "extra magic hour."  SO FUN.

I loved walking past all the marvel statues on our way to the park.

Hollywood Studios was going to be our main park for Friday, but the "magic hour" didn't work there so we headed back to the magic kingdom park to hit all the good rides before everyone else showed up.

We ended up doing Thundermountain Railroad first thing since amazingly, that's the longest line in the park here.  After riding it, I could understand why.  It's SUCH a great ride.  I will admit that this one is much better than Disney CA.  I loved it.

We also hit the haunted mansion & few other rides (ahem. . . space mountain x2) before heading back & forth between parks again.

On our way into the park, we ran into our friends from AL & Germany.  They just happened to be having a family Disney vacation too.

I absolutely love characters.  Call me a kid at heart, but I just love the magic that comes with seeing your favorites.  When the park opened all of the classic characters came out to say hello to all the guests.  Donald & Daisy were also on the side of the street waving at guests.

Happy 20th to my sweet love.

For breakfast we had HUGE beignets.

After exploring some of our favorite BIG rides, we visited Fantasyland to visit some of the more kid like rides.  I love them too.  It's a Small World is always a must when visiting Disney.

And the Storybook Village is always fun as well.  I love all the little dioramas.

And you can't go to Disney without riding Peter Pan's Magical Flight.  It's a classic.

We drifted back & forth between Frontierland & Adventureland to re-ride more of our favorites.

I was SUPER excited to see JACK the Pumpkin King near the Haunted Mansion.  He's a favorite of mine.

Finally, we worked our way back to the Hollywood Studios Park to explore.  The Tower of Terror is one of our favorites so we HAD to visit it.

Cruella DeVil visited everyone via her scary car on main street.

And we caught of glimpse of Woody, Buzz, & Jesse during our day.

I loved all the new cars themed areas.  I've never visited the Cars area of Disneyland or Disneyworld so that was a new fun adventure for me.

The cars ride here is VERY different than the one in CA.  In CA it's a roller coaster style ride, but here it's just a gentle little drive through a backlot (like the backlot tour at Universal Studios).  Kids would LOVE this ride.

One of my favorite rides here was the RC racer ride.  It's SO basic, but SO SO SO FUN.  You just go up & down on this hotwheels track, but because you're so high, it gets your stomach.  I love that feeling.

The parachutes were definitely made for younger kids, so if you're ever in Paris Disney, know that this is a great ride for littles.  It doesn't drop you very fast & is very gentle for the younger crowd.  If you want a BIG drop, ride Tower of Terror.

My favorite ride at Hollywood Studios park was Crush's Coaster.  This ride was the busiest at the park & definitely had a line.  Not only that, but you couldn't just get in line, you had to have a stand-by pass for it.  I'm SO glad we took the time to figure all that out because that ride is AMAZING.  It starts out like a cute little Nemo ride with all the characters & music playing in the background, then it turns into a full fledged racing roller coaster at top speeds through the DARK.  It's kind of a underwater version of Space Mountain & it's INCREDIBLE.

At 5, we headed back to the main park so that we could make it to our reservation at Captain Jack's Restaurant.

And when we arrived, who should be there to greet us?
Jack himself!

The food there was incredible.  Only a few restaurants are open at Disney Paris right now due to COVID regulations (if you don't want crepes, beignets, or waffles, go to Downtown Disney for 5 Guys or McDonalds).  There are about 3-4 restaurants open in the park & you have to have reservations for them.  We booked our reservation a month in advance & it booked up fast.  Plan ahead if you want to eat in the park.

For our appetizer I got a quinoa salad which was absolutely to die for.

Trek got a chopped chicken salad.

For my main course I got some Caribbean rice with a chicken stew & Trek got some Mahi Mahi.

Dessert was the best part of the whole meal.  I'm not even sure what it was, but it was some sort of a shortbread cookie/cake with grilled apples & pineapple, caramel whipped cream, & caramel.  It was to DIE for.

On our way out of the restaurant, we ran into some old friends from the time we lived in VA.  We haven't seen these friends in over 10 years.  It was SO MUCH FUN to catch up with them & their kiddos.  I love running into friends.

It was another incredible day.  We stayed in the park until 9pm riding Space Mountain AGAIN & more fun things.  We loved every single second we had in the park & couldn't wait to do it again on Saturday.
