Canyon's 13th Birthday

Happy 13th Birthday to Canyon!!!  I can't believe all my kids are teenagers or adults now.  How do they grow up so fast?

Canyon wanted scrambled eggs, bacon, bananas, & a ding dong for his birthday breakfast.  

He was super cute & excited on his birthday this year.  Turning 13 is a big deal at our house.  Now Canyon can read & watch PG-13 movies.  (We're in the middle of a Marvel movie marathon with him right now).  It's so much fun to experience these things with him for the first time like we did with each of our kids.

Canyon received a lot of fun clothes from my friend Nancy, including a beautiful light purple suit that Canyon LOVES.  She also sent an awesome Colosseum lego set for him. 

From Opa & Oma, he got a London skyline lego set.

And from the rest of the siblings he got some Hollow Night necklaces, lots of pants & clothing, & a purple rug for his bedroom.

For his 13th birthday party, we threw him a "golden" birthday party since it was his "GOLDEN" Birthday.

(A golden birthday happens when your age & the day of your birthday are the same.

Canyon turned 13 on May 13th this year).

Nancy sent all sorts of fun "GOLD" things to celebrate with.  Canyon planned his actual party (being a teen now) that he & his friends would enjoy, without too much parent involvement. . . although we were invited to a lot of it.

We played capture the flag & a bunch of other night games at the middle school fields, then came back for some board games, werewolf, & then "golden brownies" & ice cream for dessert.

It was a fun birthday with a lot of fun kiddos.  Happy Birthday Canyonland!  We love you.
