Christmas Tree Lighting - Prattville, AL

I'm loving our cute little town of Prattville.  We had the most amazing time at the Christmas tree lighting on Main St.  It was FREEZING outside (29 degrees) which is crazy for Alabama.  Lorien & Taya were at play practice so they didn't get to come with us, but we still had fun & showed them pictures after play practice.

It was adorable.  The entire town met in the plaza by the dam & we did a countdown to light up the tree.  There were dance groups performing, choirs singing Christmas carols, a snow machine blowing snow everywhere, & Santa came riding in on a fire truck.  I love this small town feel.  It's so sweet & welcoming.

Daddy & Bladen Date Night

I've been SO bad.  I didn't get any pictures of my date nights with Cadence or Lorien.  We were just having too much fun.  But Trek got a good set of pictures on his date with Bladen.

They ate dinner at Steak & Shake.

Then went to the bowling alley to play at the arcade there.  Bladen's such a cutie pie.  I just love that kid.

Thanksgiving With Mimi & Baba

For Thanksgiving my parents flew out from Utah to visit us.  I couldn't wait to show them the cute little town we live in.  Prattville has a beautiful Christmas tree right next to it's dam which is also completely lit up with Christmas lights too.

While they were here we put up all our Christmas decorations.  The kids are finally old enough to really really help with decorating.  Taya helped with my Christmas village this year.

We took my family to see the city of Montgomery.  We took them to the capital building, the riverwalk, biscuit stadium, & the first white house of the confederacy.

We also took them downtown to see our cute town of Prattville.

The highlight of their stay here was decorating our Christmas tree.

It was Taya's turn to put the angel on top of the tree this year.

Canyon loved playing video games with Mimi.

The kids all enjoyed building gingerbread houses.

But when it was time to leave, there were lots of tears.  My kids love their Mimi & Baba so much.  We will truly miss them this Christmas especially.
