For Halloween this year, we went back & forth & back & forth on SEVERAL different family theme ideas. I've been pretty busy & continue to be busy taking care of my parents so I knew I didn't have time to make all the costumes this year (& quite frankly, fabric prices have gotten so high that it's cheaper to thrift or buy costumes now than it was 5 years ago).
The kids all outvoted Trek & I & chose CLUE as our family theme. The adult kids wanted to be part of the fun too so we all shopped at thrift stores & found perfect pieces for our costumes. A few things we bought on Amazon to finish up the details (like the weapons & the butler/maid costumes), but everything else was thrifted treasures. We wanted to do a spin on CLUE. . . kind of a mixture of the 1980's movie mixed with the original CLUE board game card characters, but ended up adding a 1920's spin on it. We had a blast putting it all together.
We had a FABULOUS photographer meet us at the state capital to take our family pictures. They turned out PERFECT!
