April came & went in a blink of an eye. Both Craiger & Taya had ballroom showcases, Craiger got his drivers learning permit, Canyon had a play, Bladen's Pokemon Unite E-Sports team took state, Lorien graduated from culinary school, Trek taught his very last class as the ROTC Commander, & I got released from my volunteer service in the young women program at church. There were a lot of emotions, a lot of excitement, a lot of fun. . . . but also a lot of "lasts" & some sadness about ending things that have been SO important in our lives.
Change is good. Endings can be good too, even when they are sad. Happy April & cheers to all the "NEW" happening soon at the Potter house (graduation, mission, Trek's new job, school ending, new callings, & more)
Here's a hodgepodge of some of April's more random happenings.
Craiger passed his driver's permit test & is now a "legal" driver (as long as I'm in the car with him). He is very excited to start this new adventure.
A couple weeks after easter, we were all sitting down & enjoying dinner together at the table when Bladen darted out of the back door a high speed. I look out the window & he has a forgotten easter egg in his hand full of Skittles (his favorite candy). He was SO excited.
Canyon has been cooking a LOT lately at home. He made us a full Hawaiian Haystacks meal one Sunday night when all the kids came to visit. He did a great job of it too.
And he cleaned up afterwards as well. What a sweetie.
Those are the more random things we did, but coming up we'll have all the amazing things that happened this month.
