Skyridge Classic Ballroom Competition - Taya & Craiger

The last ballroom competition of the season was the Skyridge Classic in Lehi, UT.

These competitions are all day events.  Trek & I finally bought cushioned bench seats for these so our rear ends wouldn't hurt after 12 hours of sitting & watching them dance.  It was a long day, but so much fun to see my kids dance their hearts out.

First up was Taya performing her Samba.  Their Samba took 2nd place!

Next Craiger performed his Jive which also took 2nd place.

This competition was the debut of their country swing dance.  I believe they got 4th place with it which is incredible since they had just barely learned it.

And Varsity's disco took 1st place.  Alta did amazing with Varsity at this competition.  Cabaret, Tango, Disco, & Cha Cha all took first place in their categories.  We are so proud of those kids.

After all the team dances, they did their syllabus routine competitions.  Taya & Adam rocked their Triple Swing routine.  They made it through 4 rounds & to the quarter-finals.  I was SO proud of them.

Craiger competed in Cha Cha, but didn't get to move on this time around.  However, the top 3 pairs in this one were all Alta students. . . same with the waltz.  They did awesome.

And then Taya only made it one round in Waltz.  There was some great competitors there.  They all did fantastic.

It's been a fun year learning about ballroom & being a ballroom mom.  It's sometimes exhausting, but worth every second.  I love watching my kids perform & love it.  I'm so proud of them both.
