We have the most amazing landlord. She lives in the states, but her mother, father, & 2 sisters live here in Germany next door to us, & just down the street. We call her parents Opa & Oma & just adore them. We caroled at their house & while we were there, they invited us to join them for their Christmas Eve choir performance at the local church in the village. Of course we wanted to experience culture & we went & saw Opa sing in the choir. I'm so glad we gave the kids an opportunity to experience different religion that ours, in a different language than ours, in a different place than ours.
After church we came home & ate our Christmas Eve dinner (ham, funeral potatoes, green bean casserole, & pie), & then settled down for a Christmas movie. While we were watching our movie, Craiger heard sleigh bells in my bedroom & when we investigated we found 8 packages on my bed with my window wide open. Santa had snuck into our room & placed Christmas Eve presents on my bed. The kids were SO excited to see what he brought.

This year he brought us all onesies which were hilarious. I got the evil queen from Snow White.
Canyon got Mario pj's (of course).
Craiger got the most adorable astronaut pj's.
Bladen became a raptor when he put his pj's on.
And Taya obviously got a rainbow unicorn.
Lorien & Cadence (being the tag team that they are) got Stitch & Angel for their pajamas.
And Trek got Buddy the Elf pajamas. SO FUNNY.
What a fun Christmas Eve surprise.
We watched Santa Claus 2 in our new pj's & then headed to bed early so Santa could come visit. What an exciting night.
