Taya & Mommy Date Night

Taya & I also had a date night this month.

FINALLY, I'm with the girls for date nights.  (They like the finer foods . . . no more nuggets & burgers!)  She chose Panera Bread for our dinner.  She loves their mac & cheese & I love their broccoli cheese soup.  Yum.

After Panera Bread, all Taya wanted to do was go get some ice cream.  You know me & my love for ice cream so we took a trip to Brusters for waffle cones.  They were delicious.

Taya is so much fun.  We had a nice long chat about her new exciting news.

The community of Prattville has a fun little theater called the Prattville Way Off Broadway theater.  They do 4-5 plays a year there & people travel from all over the south to see them.  For Christmas this year, the theater is doing the production of "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever."  (one of my favorite childhood books).  They were auditioning kids for it so I took Lo, Taya, Bladen, & Craiger to try out.  They had over 50 kids try out for the play, & there is some really great talent here in Prattville/Montgomery.  In the entire play there are only 18 kids & only about 9 or 10 have main parts with lines.  Much to our excitement, both Lorien & Taya got main parts in the play.  Lorien is Maxine (one of the 4 main teenage girls who ends up narrating the pageant) & we are thrilled that Taya got the lead part of Gladys Herdman.  (the Herdmans were the WORST kids in town.  They swore, smoked, stole, & bit.  They take over the Christmas pageant & hilarity ensues.  Taya is the youngest Herdman who is the "angel" in the pageant & who is obsessed with "the black knight" & "taking out Herrod!")  Taya is going to be HILARIOUS in the role.

SHAZAM!!!!

It's time to start memorizing the many lines she has to memorize by the end of October.

It was a really nice date night with lots of good food, laughter, hugs, & one on one time.
