Marching Band Fun

Cadence has sured loved being part of the Pride of Prattville Marching Band.  They have been SO wonderful at finding ways to make Cadence a part of the band when she doesn't play a marching instrument.  Oboes can't march . . . they are only used during concert season.  But the directors here put Cadence right to work as a cymbal player for parades & the pre-game show & as the pianist for the field show competitions.  She's loving every minute of it.

They have practiced SO hard over the last 4 months.  July & August were long 8-10 hour days learning the music & the field show movements.  Once school started there were 3 hour rehearsals after school, football games every Friday night, & then Field Show Competitions on Saturdays.  It's been SUPER busy, but Cadence has loved every minute of it.

Here are a few videos of her playing.  (In this particular parade & drum cadence, she had learned the cymbals THAT day.  She is always SO determined to learn new things quickly.)

My little Piano Player.  I love her so much.  You make me proud Cadence.
