On May 15th, our church commemorated the 200th year since the restoration of the priesthood on the earth. There was a father-son campout planned to celebrate this event, but of course couldn't happen due to the COVID quarantine. Trek decided to do a father-son campout in our backyard instead. They had SO MUCH FUN.
Germany is so beautiful & a perfect place to hike & camp. The boys took a nice long walk through the farms & forests behind our house. We never get tired of the beautiful trails around us.
The boys set up camp in our backyard & built a small fire in our firepit to make dinner & dessert together.
They let us girls join them for the SMORES. Yum.
I was proud of them for waking up early & making breakfast all by themselves. They made pancakes, eggs, & sausage.
And then they took camp down.
It was a fun bonding experience for all my boys, including Trek. I'm glad they took the time to do that together.
