Hobbit Day

You all know I'm a sucker for fun holidays to celebrate.  September 22nd is Hobbit Day so we decided to celebrate Hobbit Day for the first time EVER.

We woke up & started our day with breakfast . . . scrambled eggs & sausage.

Then I let the kids get ready for school while I prepared 2nd breakfast . . . a cinnamon roll & hot chocolate.

Taya even put on her elven cloak for the occassion.

I sent the kids to school with their elevensies snack (lembas bread. . . peanut butter biscuits).

For luncheon we had a light charcuterie board with fruit, nuts, crackers, & cheeses.

Then for afternoon tea we had cornbread with honey butter & some fruit tea.

Then we took a break from eating so we could watch the 1st hobbit movie.

For dinner we had some pot roast, PO-TAY-TOES, & cantalope, watched Hobbit Part 2,

Then enjoyed our supper (which was really a dessert of cherry cobbler!)

We still need to watch the Hobbit Part 3, but that will have to wait for another day.  Our bellies are full & we are TIRED & need our hobbit sleep.
