Homecoming Week was a blast at the kids' new high school. My kids are SO into dressing up for things. They crack me up. And they can't get enough of having all the costumes in a costume closet in the basement. They can put together all sorts of fun outfits.
For spirit week they had themed days. For Adam Sandler day they wore Trek's clothes which is hilarious to me.
Then for decades day they went all out in 80's & 70's gear. They were some of the only kids in the school that actually dressed up, but they had fun. Bladen even told me, "These kids are lame! Dressing up is fun."
Since we are still so new to the area, they hadn't really found a friend group yet to go with to the Homecoming Dance so they just went with each other & hung out. They didn't get too dressed up, but they had fun & made the best of a "new" situation at a "new" school.
