The Pantheon

We also visited the Pantheon with Justin & Cari.  This was our first time visiting the Pantheon which was really fun.  We've been to Paris so many times & see the same things over & over, but it was really exciting to see something brand new to us.  And we loved it.  I highly recommend going here & seeing this beautiful building.

From the front doors of the Pantheon, you can see the Eiffel Tower which is just beautiful.

The architechture of the Pantheon is amazing.  The pillars alone are magnificent.

Inside, there are intricate carvings, mosiacs, & paintings everywhere you turn.  It's beautiful.

There is a pendulum in the center of the building as well.  My boys loved standing & watching it.

I loved the paintings.  I've always loved art.  This is a picture of Charlemagne being crowned.

And there was an entire section of paintings dedicated to Joan of Arc's life.

There is also a crypt which totally freaked my kids out.  (One of these days we're going to go back to Paris & FINALLY go to the crypts under the city.  I've been dying to go down there, but haven't had the chance yet.)

Both Voltaire & Russo are buried under the Pantheon in Paris.

I loved it.  There was no line to get in, it was cheap, & we spent a good hour there.  The kids enjoyed it as much as the adults did too.  I highly recommend adding this to your travels.
