Disney Paris - Day 2

Our 2nd day, we woke up early so we could all be ready by 8:00 to walk over to the park for magic hour.   We loved our hotel room.  There was Marvel art everywhere.  We were SO smart to stay at a Disney hotel.

We stopped by Earl of Sandwich for breakfast & we got some yummy ham & egg sandwiches.  We ate them as we walked, then got into the lines at Hollywood Studios.  We arrive at 8:20 & the doors opened right at 8:30am.  The rain starting coming down the minute we got into the park.  It wasn't terrible, but it was definitely raining.

As we walked through Hollywood Studios, we made our way over to Ratatouille first.  There was no line whatsoever so we decided to start there.

The Ratatouille ride is quite amazing from an engineering standpoint.  The cars are moved via magnification which is incredible.  I love the 4-D effect of the movie screens that make you feel like you're in the "movie" & the smells of oranges & the wet spray of "champagne" in your face is pretty cool too.  It's really cool what people come up with these days.

After Ratatouille, we made our way to Pixar/Toy Story Land & rode RC Racer.  It was raining fairly hard at the point so as we were driving UP the track it felt like mini-bullets hitting me in the face.  It was hilarious.

Next we rode the Slinky Dog ride.  We all got motion sickness from that one.

We made our way over to the cars ride.  By the time we got there, it was POURING rain.  We were pretty much drenched at this point so we were trying to find any ride that had a covered line or where you could sit in a covered or roofed place for long periods of time.  They put us on a tram & we waited for 20 minutes before they announced it was broken, so we had to get back off & wait for the next tram.  It was fine because we weren't in the rain.  The new tram came, & we enjoyed the cute cars ride.

After that we walked some more through Hollywood Studios & made our way back to the the other Cars ride near the front of the park.  It's for little kids, but we hadn't ridden it yet & wanted to hit everything.

So we all piled into our little car, all 4 of us, until a cast member had to come tell us we weighed too much for one car & made us get out.  We started laughing SO hard.  That poor cast member had to tell a bunch of middle-age mom's they weigh too much.  I felt SO bad.  So we swapped into 2 separate cars, & did fine after that.

After that, we hopped on Genie's Magic Carpet ride & rode it in the pouring rain.  We were all in one carpet & our carpet had a VERY HARD TIME going up & down like the other carpets.  We are officially old & weigh too much for Disney rides.  It's kind of sad, but also hilarious.

After that, we made our way to the opposite end of the park.  The Tower of Terror is one of my very favorite rides so we HAD to do that one.

Lightning McQueen was hanging out around the main square & was talking to guests.  I've never seen him out & about so that was fun.

And then we made our way over to Avenger's Campus.  Our first ride was Avenger's Flight Force which is a great roller coaster.  It made everyone sick (except for me).

Then we waited in the longest line of our trip to ride Spiderman's Web Slinger ride.  We waiting one hour for this one which wasn't terrible.  I love this ride so much.

I don't know what it is about me & shooting games, but I am a very good shot apparently.  I was showing them how to do it & by the end they were getting the hang of it, but I beat them all by almost a hundred thousand points.  Our team score was SO good that we made 6th place for the day which was exciting.

As we came out, we walked into Thor & Loki.  Loki is my very favorite.  In face, I was wearing a Loki outfit that day.  I had a green cap with loki horns, a green shirt, & black pants.  He noticed, pointed, & winked at me.  It was great!

On our way out of Avenger's Campus we also ran into Spiderman.

And GOOFY.

Then we made our way back over to Disneyland.

Rabbit was in the front entry of the park & we found a little shop selling the most adorable French Macarons I had ever seen.  I had to buy one of all of them.  They were SO good.

It was raining again (it never really stopped, but just got harder & harder) so the parade only had one float with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, & the Chipmunks.

Then we headed for Buzz Lightyear to try to escape the rain.

I got the high score on this ride too.  I have been shooting so many times in my life that any game that involved shooting a target, I usually do pretty well at.  My friends laughed & decided that from here on out, they were going to try to beat me.  (They never did).

The rain was REALLY coming down at this point so we ran to Mickey's Philharmonic Theater to watch the 30 minute movie just to escape the rain.  Then we walked to Star Tours.

and saw Mando with Grogu there.

And then a miracle happened & the rain stopped for a few minutes.  There was some blue sky & sunshine & it was just lovely.  It only lasted about 15 minutes, but it was glorious.

We toured inside Sleeping Beauty's castle, saw the stained glass windows, then the dragon in the dungeon too.

Then we started hanging out in Fantasyland for a bit.  We started with the Snow White ride because it started pouring again.

You can see how miserably it was raining!  Look
at the pools of water on the ground!)

Then we rode Peter Pan.

After Peter Pan, we went back to Pirates just to escape the rain, & when we came out it was already dark.  The castle was beautiful in the dark.

We left the park early just to get out of the rain, & went shopping at downtown Disney.  We especially loved the Lego Store.

We ate dinner at the Earl of Sandwich again, then went to our hotel for bed.  It was a wonderful, but soaking wet day.
