I love that Taya & Lorien have orchestra together. It makes my heart happy seeing them up there playing together. Taya plays viola (like me) & Lorien plays cello. Both absolutely LOVE playing music.
During each concert their teacher likes to call up the instruments & give the audience a lesson on the different string instruments. Taya got called up this time to show off her viola.
Lorien graduates in May so she only has one more orchestra concert before she graduates. She's had a great time these last 4 years playing in High School. She loves her cello & I hope she continues to play as an adult.
The songs were wonderful this concert. Lorien is 1st chair cello so you will be able to see her in all the videos. Taya is hiding behind a music stand. Violas are my favorite string instrument, but they are always hidden behind others as an alto instrument. But know that she is there & that she is playing beautifully.
