Happy 18th Birthday to my sweet Lorien. We all woke up around 4 or 4:30, got ready & made our way downstairs to eat breakfast at 5am. The continental breakfast was good. They had fresh waffles, eggs, fruit, beans, & yogurt. We ate quickly & made our way to the airport so we could check in 3 hours before our flight. Checking in was fast as was security. This little airport was AMAZING. It was well organized & easy to maneuver. We loved this airport. They didn’t post the gate for our flight until 1 hour before we took off. We wandered around & bought some souvenirs for the kids & some treats for ourselves while we waited. The girls all fell asleep on the floor as we waited. We were completely exhausted at this point. Exactly 1 hour before our flight, they posted our gate so we grabbed all our things & had to hop on the tram to make it to the right side of the terminal. We got there just as they started boarding our plane. This was the first Ryan Air flight I’ve ever taken that boarded & took off on time. It was amazing.
We arrived back at the Luxembourg airport at about 11:30, then drove home for 2 hours. We were SO happy to step inside & be home. It was a wonderful trip. I loved spending time with Lorien. Best birthday ever!
