Easter 2016

Happy Easter from the Potter Clan!

The kids love Easter.  We always go to Opa & Oma's house because Easter at their house is like Christmas!  They have SO many fun activiites planned & the epic Potter Family Easter Egg Hunt.

But first we had to go visit the Easter Bunny.  Easter wouldn't be Easter without getting a pic taken with him.

For Easter weekend we drove down to Los Angeles to be with the rest of the Potter family.  Opa & Oma had the kids' tents & sleeping bags all set up & ready to go for when we arrived.  The kids LOVE those tents.

Oma, Opa, & Auntie Carolyn spent hours stuffing Easter eggs as they waited for us to arrive.
HOURS.  There were over 1000 eggs.

We spent the weekend just hanging out together as a family, singing songs, playing games, & having fun.  But Saturday night, the real excitement started when we went out for the big egg hunt.  The hunts were divided by age.

The first hunt was for Canyon & Ella - the babies of the Potter family.  They are both 3 so we figured we'd give them their own hunt so they had a chance at finding some eggs.

Next was the 5-6 year old hunt which was Bladen, Emery, & Craiger.  They know how it all works so they had fun gathering all their eggs.

The last kid hunt was for my 3 girls (ages 8-13).  They had fun battling it out against each other for the most eggs & the most money.

I love that Cadence still isn't too old for a good Easter egg hunt.

After all the kids got situated with their eggs, chocolates, money, & candy. . . it was time for the adults.  And boy was that a fun hunt.  I always love going against Trek's brothers & sisters.  They push each other down, they steal from each other's baskets, they sabotage each other. . . it sounds horrible, but it's the most fun I have all year long.  I love it.

I actually won the most money this year.  I had a total of $62 in my eggs.  Wahoo.  Go me!  But really, we do have a lot of fun as a family.

After the hunt we had Easter dinner with the whole family.  I love my in-laws.  I really am blessed to have such a wonderful group of people to call my family.

After all the craziness of the egg hunt, dinner, movies, & more family time, we all went to bed & awaited a visit from the Easter Bunny.  The kids were thrilled when they woke up Easter morning to baskets filled with goodies for each of them.

The kids had a blast playing with their little toys & eating their candies.

The day after Easter, we headed out to the mall to play at the carousel with Opa & Oma before we started our journey back home to Mountain View.

I think the kids wound up making themselves sick on this little spin around thing.  I was cracking up.

And of course we loved all the family time & music time we had with everyone.

We were sad to have to say good-bye.  It was a wonderful Easter weekend.
