Do you know how exciting it is to have a kid playing a string instrument?
I'm just SO excited. It's SO great living in a place that actually offers strings in school. I love it here for that reason. She has done SO extremely well on the cello so far.
Her teacher even applied for a summer college scholarship for her & she got it. This summer she'll get to spend 2 months playing cello for an honor strings youth symphony at CSMA. We are SO proud of her.
The kids' elementary school had an open house where she had her first concert for families of kids that go to school there. She did VERY well & even had a few solos (since she's the only cellist at the school.)
How cute is she?
