Last Day of School

Another school year has come & gone.  Where does the time go?  This year flew by like a speeding bullet.  It's been a wonderful year for the kids.

My big girls got out of school a whole week before my littles.  Here in AL, if you have A's & have only missed a couple of days of school, you don't have to take the finals & you school year ends a week before everyone else.  Both girls had A's in all their classes so they didn't have to take any finals.  They were pretty excited about that.

Lorien finished 8th grade & will start her
Freshman year in Germany.

Cadence finished her Sophomore year &
will be a Junior next year in Germany.

The other kiddos all got out of school the following week.

Taya just finished up 5th grade & will be a
6th grader at the middle school in Germany
next year.  This will be her first year of being
at a school all by herself.

Bladen finished off his 4th grade year with a bang.
Straight A's!
Next year he will be in 5th grade & will be the oldest
of his siblings at their school.

Craiger was the happiest 2nd grader I've ever seen.
He will be a big boy 3rd grader next year.

And little Canyon finished Kindergarten at the
top of his class.  He is SO ready to be a 1st
grader at the elementary school with his other
two brothers.

Of course we had to celebrate Potter style.  We met the bus at our bus stop with bubbles, water guns, water balloons, silly string, & popsicles to celebrate summer.  I think some of the kids on our block thought we were nuts, but eventually warmed up to us when they saw the popsicles.

It's been a great little bus stop.  I'm going to miss the great group of kids we've had here in our neighborhood.  They're the best.
