Craiger's 13th Birthday - Glow in the Dark

Happy 13th Birthday to Craiger.  I can't believe I have yet another teenager in the house.

13 is such a fun age to be.  Craiger can now officially ready Harry Potter 4-7, watch all the PG-13 movies (like Jurassic Park, the Marvel Movies, & the Harry Potter movies), & more.  We do a LOT when our kids turn 13 so we were excited for this one.

Craiger's birthday breakfast consisted of omelets, apple slices, & sausage links along with his birthday cupcakes.

He got some presents from my friend Nancy, from his siblings, & then from Trek & I.

Craiger really wanted some new church clothes for his birthday, so his brothers & sisters got him a new white shirt, green church slacks, a purple sweater vest with matching purple space tie (purple is Craiger's favorite color), & a belt.  He's going to look SO nice at church.

Trek & I got him some bedding. . . a bed skirt (to hide the craziness he has going on under his bed), a down comforter, & a blue duvet cover.  He was so happy to have a more "mature" bed.

Nancy sent him all sorts of fun clothes, ties, & shoes.  He always loves everything Nancy picks out for him.

Even though Craiger's birthday is February 28th, he got multiple celebrations this year.  On Sunday night, we went to Mimi & Baba's house for dinner & Baba cooked him his very favorite dinner: pepperjack chicken enchiladas.  My parents bought him an awesome Civil Air Patrol sweatshirt & his cousins got him some display stands for his rock collection.

Then on March 16th (the day after Cadence got home), we did his official birthday party.  His theme this year was:
"Glow in the Dark!"

We had fun with a bunch of neon colors for decor & paper goods.  We also had glow in the dark balloons, glow in the dark paint for our faces, a black light to make everything glow, & more.

We took all of his friends to the middle school where we played glow in the dark kickball (with a clear ball with a glowstick inside), glow in the dark ultimate frisbee, & more.

Then we came back to the house & played several rounds of  Werewolf with his friends.  He had about 14 boys & 2 girls come.  (Those poor girls dealing with teenage boy craziness).  They all had a blast though.

Instead of cake, Craiger wanted ice cream sundaes so we had a whole sundae bar with all the ice cream, toppings, & yumminess they could ever want.  Craiger has a few friends who can't have sugar so we made sure to have fruit & veggies available as well.  Overall, I think they all had a blast.

Craiger's favorite gift was a giant tortilla blanket.  He thought that was the best thing ever.

This is my favorite picture of him from after his birthday.  I went to check on him after I finished cleaning up the party, & he was in his bed, sound asleep, wrapped up like a little burrito.

I love this kiddo so much.  Happy Birthday Craiger Man!
