January Happenings

January flew by in the blink of an eye, but we had a lot of fun along the way.  We did a lot of fun little things in January.

We had a fun youth ice skating activity with all the youth from our church congregation.

Craiger competed in his school's "History Fair" & did so well that he qualified to move on to the district/regional competition.

Lorien officially started the "chef" side of culinary school by getting her official uniform/chef coat/hat.  She has taken a storeroom management class, a baking & pastry class, & a cooking essentials class.  She's doing awesome & loves it. . . minus the 3 DEEP cuts she's given herself in class.  Chef knives are crazy sharp!  But she's doing amazing & I LOVE sampling/eating her "homework" & "finals projects."

Craiger finally got his full blues uniform & looks SO good in it.  What a cutie.  CAP has been a wonderful experience for him so far.

We did another temple trip, this time to the Jordan River Temple with our youth.

Trek & I got invited to a "game weekend" with friends where we stayed the night in a cute poolhouse in Provo & played board games for 24 hours straight.  Talk about my kind of "getaway."

The Potter cousins came to our house for dinner one afternoon which was fun.  We don't get to see Olive or Phoenix very often so we sure love it when we do get to spend time with them.

Bladen just cracks me up 24/7.

We had a fun youth activity decorating cakes in January.  It was a great activity & one of our 13 year old girls taught it all by herself.

Taya got a haircut this month & she is adorable.

I took Canyon & Trek took Taya on a date to an arcade one night.  We had fun running into each other on our dates.

Craiger did a whole geo-caching unit in CAP to help him rank up.  He had fun finding all the geo-caches in our neighborhood.

And we did a big youth game night.  Taya & I led "spoons" & had a blast watching the kids chase each other around when they got 4 of a kind.

It was a fairly laid back month where we could catch up on things, but still have a lot of fun.
