In February, Trek & I got to chaperone a large dance for about 200 teens at our church. The theme was "Through the Decades" so we dressed up in 70's & 80's gear to "fit in" with the "hip" teens.
We had such a blast. Trek & I danced every single dance together & just had a great time. I think the kids thought we were nuts, but we loved every second of it. The music was awesome, especially the 70's, 80's, & 90's music.
Bladen & Taya had a blast too. Taya was dolled up in 80's gear & Bladen was a little too shy to wear anything this time around, but I'm pretty sure he'll dress up next time now that he sees how much fun it is. Taya & Bladen hung out for most of the dance. Taya included him with all of her friends. They were both happy.
It felt good to be like a teenager again. It was an awesome night.
