We stopped at a really cool Kasbah (village) from the 1200’s made of clay & straw. It is still standing & has been used in several movies & TV shows (like Indiana Jones, Game of Thrones, Mummy, & more). We hiked to the very top of the village & really enjoyed the small marketplace (not nearly as crazy as Marrakesh) inside as well as really enjoyed learning the history of the structures.
Many movies & TV shows have been filmed here. In fact, a huge majority of Gladiator is filmed here.
I loved this village. It was small, less crazy, & just beautiful. I loved it's historical background & was amazed that mud/brick/clay could survive this many years. There are still families that live here in these huts. What an incredible place to visit.
