We woke up & had breakfast at 8 again. It was very similar to the first day’s breakfast. They had hard boiled eggs, pancakes, flat bread, yogurt, & fruit. . . & more of the hand squeezed orange juice. It was SO good.
Then we hopped into the car for our 8 hour drive. I continued to talk to Hmed about everything in the country. He was from the desert on the border of Algeria. He is the oldest of 7 kids & he told me his mom was his hero. She was a tough woman with a big heart. She worked hard his whole life to give them a good life. He really enjoyed talking about his family. We saw a lot of more women carrying the sticks/brush/grass on their backs this morning. It looked SO hard. I wanted to just jump out of the car & help them.
We drove to the largest gorge in Morocco & got out for about 30 minutes to hike through the gorge. There was a creek running through it & it was very beautiful. This is a huge spot for rock climbing. It takes about 6 hours to rock climb the entire gorge. We were watching a few rock climbers do it too. The cliffs were SUPER high & beautiful. It felt good to stretch our legs a bit.
Then we hopped back in the car for more driving.
