After the museums, we hopped back on the tube & started our way home. It was the worst tube ride EVER! I felt like a sardine! There were people packed so tight that you could hardly even breathe. Then to make it worse, the little girl standing next to me starting throwing up into a paper bag which obviously got soaked through & spilled all over her, the floor, & my shoes. The smell alone made me start gagging. As we got further out, the people started disappearing & we were finally able to sit down & relax. . . .until we realized we were on the wrong train & had been going the wrong way! Yikes!! We were just exhausted. We hopped off the train & found the RIGHT one & rode it back to Epping. We sat next to a really nice English man who kindly offered advice on the best foods to try while on "holiday" in his country. He was so sweet.
On the way home, we drove through McDonald's & ate it on the drive home. It was nasty (as McDonald's usually is), but we survived & the girls were happy. Lorien was so exhausted that she started screaming that her tummy hurt (which is our sign for "time for bed"). We made it home around 9:30 & went straight to bed. We had a GREAT day, but we were exhausted!
